About

Mission

Bloom Wild Bookshop is a social enterprise expanding access to books, nature, and community. We create immersive experiences that connect literature, ecology, and place, addressing both book deserts and plant deserts through curated books, intentional programming, and California native wildflower seeds. We amplify diverse voices while inviting people to engage with stories, the land, and a shared responsibility to care for both.

Vision

Bloom Wild Bookshop envisions a future where reading culture thrives alongside restored ecosystems and connected communities. Through mobile, program based experiences, we meet people where they are, bringing books, seeds, and ideas into neighborhoods, schools, and public spaces. We imagine a world where access is abundant, stories are shared freely, and every community has the opportunity to grow, bloom, and flourish.

why we exist

Bloom Wild Bookshop is more than a bookstore on wheels, it is a mobile ecosystem for storytelling and restoration. We operate at the intersection of literacy and ecology, expanding access to books and green spaces in communities everywhere. Through curated literature, hands on programming, and ecological storytelling, we create experiences that spark curiosity, connection, and care, inviting people to explore, reflect, and leave with something meaningful.

Founder’s Story

Bloom Wild Bookshop was born from a love of stories and the wildness of the land.

Founder Aurora grew up with books as her refuge, a place to dream beyond her surroundings, explore ideas, and imagine a world where every voice could be heard. That love of literature shaped a career in arts and culture, building access to diverse voices and fostering meaningful community connections.

In recent years, Aurora’s passion for California native plants took root. Tending her garden became an act of restoration, teaching patience, resilience, and the power of reconnecting with the land. Bloom Wild Bookshop brings these passions together in a mobile, immersive experience: books and plants coexist, sparking conversation, restoring ecosystems, and inspiring care for our environment.

Bloom Wild Bookshop is the culmination of Aurora’s lifelong commitment to books, culture, and community. She has designed and led public programs and cultural experiences in New York and Los Angeles, partnering with museums, community organizations, and public institutions to amplify voices, foster engagement, and create spaces where ideas and culture thrive.

As a bookseller, curator, and California native plant advocate, Aurora merges literature, ecology, and experiential storytelling into Bloom Wild—creating a mobile, joyful, and accessible platform where people can discover stories, reconnect with the land, and bloom wild.
